China Now is the largest festival of Chinese culture ever in the UK. It launched in February 2008, with a series of high-profile events to mark the beginning of the Chinese New Year.
Throughout the first half of 2008, until the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, CHINA NOW coordinates about 800 events, performances and activities. It is a showcase of art, design, cuisine and culture, science, business and technology, education and sport – an inspirational celebration of vibrant, dynamic 21st-century China.
Sponsored by China Now, Ming-Ai as the lead organisation collaborated with the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) and the Good Earth Group, and had arranged 9 Traditional Chinese Medicine Workshops for the general public to participate.
One participant said:
"The TCM workshops were very informative and helped me expand my knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine. The workshops showed me that traditional Chinese medicine can take many different forms, in food, in exercise and in acupuncture. I myself was treated for my hay fever in one of the workshops with acupuncture and I must say that it feels good to finally be able to breathe again!" Alex Law.
