In 1995 Ming-Ai (London) Institute became an Associate College of Middlesex University, this was designed to enhance the resources and expertise of both institutions. Middlesex University is keen to develop China-related programmes. Ming-Ai with its connections and knowledge of China has been able to facilitate appropriate contacts.
Since 1995 the Institute has maintained a good relationship with Middlesex University and in 2014 will offer their first master's programme MA in Cultural Heritage Management.
Middlesex University previously housed their Bounds Green Campus adjacent to Ming-Ai (London) Institute on Cline Road. This established the first point of contact between the Institute and University. A memorandum of Association between Ming-Ai (London) Institute and Middlesex was first signed in May 1995 and a second one in March 2001. The institute was instrumental in securing the co-operation of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology and Middlesex University in offering a mandatory 5-year B.Sc. (Hons) degree programme in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This commenced in 1997 and Ming-Ai was responsible for providing Mandarin training during the programme running.
The Institute was instrumental in supporting the University in developing links with an organisation in Hong Kong and China. Ming-Ai (London) Institute organised many outward and inward visits from China that included Middlesex Universities participation.
Co-operation and partnership are expected to continue as Ming-Ai (London) Institute and Middlesex University work together for the MA in Cultural Heritage Management. This programme is quality assured by Middlesex University and you will receive a Middlesex award for successful completion.
