The Ambassadors project is offering schools within Greater London the opportunity to participate in the project, with a visit to schools from our partner chefs, representatives of Lee Kum Kee and Ming-Ai (London) Institute who will talk about healthy Chinese food and Chinese food culture. The Ambassadors project has visited a number of schools across London over two years meeting hundreds of students and teachers. These visits have been highly popular and well received by students who in some instances have had their first experience in cooking Chinese food for themselves.
To date the Healthy Chinese Cuisine Ambassadors project has hosted two teacher cooking workshops in Ming-Ai (London) Institute's fully-fitted kitchen. These workshops give teachers the skills, experience and knowledge to prepare healthy Chinese cuisine in their own lessons.
In addition to our school visits a number of lesson plans and teaching resources will be produced in order for teachers to make use of. We hope to produce and make these available for free in Autumn 2014. These lesson plans will be found on at www.britishchinesefoodculture.org.uk.
The chefs working with the project are: Andrew Wong, Jeremy Pang and Jason Li.
